For the All-Service Nationals, Army Nationals, Air Force Nationals, and Navy Nationals events run specifically by Sports Network International (SNI), this sling has been denied approval for competitive use.
Despite that, this sling has been approved for performative, non-competitive use by all branches for phases such as training and colors presentations.

The Pro Color Guard Sling has two strips of loop Velcro sewn in, one for sling arms and one for unsling arms. There is also a 3 inch gap at the bottom near the hook Velcro for grabbing and pulling. It turns the whole motion into a pull and snap. There is no clipping required and no fumbling possible. This allows color guard riflemen and riflewomen to easily sync together on these motions (with a sound check for the Velcro pull) and increases the ease of precision for this movement.
In addition to being a very clean aesthetic, the nature of the Velcro means it won't unclip at any point. We've all seen a color guard rifle hit the deck after a sling keeper unclips, and this design protects against this most embarrassing moment.
In short, the Pro Color Guard Sling is a safer, smoother, cleaner look for rifles going between sling arms and unsling arms. There is no benefit for any other command, and it will not serve as a cheat code for winning as it does nothing to enhance the level of skill required to win. Instead, it serves as an easy, failsafe way to maximally ensure precise timing on sling/unsling arms and prevent unnecessary fumbling with sling keepers during a color guard presentation.
Last, but most importantly, the use of this sling does not violate any wording of any drill manual.
